Hello World

This is the first post on YassineLabs. I've been building things for a while now, and it felt right to finally have a place to write about it.

What is YassineLabs?

It's an umbrella for everything I make — apps, products, creative projects. Right now that means two things:

Sahifa is a daily Islamic companion app. Prayer tracking, Quran reading with audio, du'a, dhikr counter, qibla compass — all in one place. Beautiful nature-themed backgrounds, works offline, syncs across devices. It's the app I wanted to exist but couldn't find.

Spooky Olive is a charity brand where 100% of profits go directly to families in Gaza. No intermediaries, no overhead — just direct support.

Why a blog?

Mostly for myself. Writing about what I'm building helps me think more clearly. If someone else finds it useful, that's a bonus.

I'll write about dev decisions, product launches, lessons learned, and whatever else comes up along the way.
